Verna stopped offering insurance at the end of January 2026, and as a result customers’ vehicle insurance policies were transferred to Vörður on February 1.

Vörður has been Verna’s underwriter since October 1, in addition to handling claims services for the company. At the end of January 2026, Verna ceased offering insurance and as a result, Verna customers’ vehicle insurance policies were automatically transfered to Vörður. You don’t need to do anything – your coverage will remain unchanged, on comparable or better terms.

Verna's smart device insurance sold to Viss

In Q3 2025, Endurgjald ehf. acquired Verna smart device insurance and has since been marketed under the Viss brand.
